Community Events: Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion

At the heart of our organization is a commitment to community engagement through dynamic events that celebrate diversity, foster inclusion, and empower marginalized voices. Our Community Events program is dedicated to creating spaces where art, culture, and activism intersect, providing platforms for expression and connection.

We strive to enrich the San Francisco community by hosting a variety of events that are inclusive and accessible to all. From drag performances that take art to the streets, to happy hours designed for safe social engagement, each event is crafted to uplift and celebrate the unique tapestry of our city.

Highlights

  • San Francisco is a Drag: On December 2nd & 3rd, 2023, we supported 100 drag performers in bringing their art out of the nightclubs and into the streets, transforming urban spaces into vibrant performance arenas.

  • Access Happy Hour: In collaboration with Access SFUSD, we created welcoming spaces for students with disabilities to perform and experience drag shows, ensuring a safe and respectful nightlife environment. This event serves as an Access SFUSD fundraiser for infrastructure projects at their school, supplies and for social events for students.

  • Nightlife Events: We leveraged the unique atmosphere of nightlife to help marginalized communities find connection, create allies, and develop their art in new and meaningful ways.

Building Community Through Events

Our events serve as vital gathering points for diverse groups, including the LGBTQ+ community, artists, and allies. By bringing people together, we not only celebrate the vibrant cultures that make up our community but also create opportunities for meaningful interactions and new understandings.
